The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform the installation of a new 12-strand, 150-foot (150ft) Single Mode (SM) fiber optic cable at the Dobbins ARB ATC Tower. This new SM fiber will replace an existing legacy multimode (MM) fiber run currently supporting the Negation of Improvised Non-State Joint Aerial-Threats (NINJA) system.

The contractor shall install, route, and secure one continuous 12-strand, 150-foot SM fiber optic cable from the designated telecommunications rack on the 1st floor to the designated equipment rack on the observation deck of the Dobbins ARB ATC Tower, utilizing existing conduit, cable trays, and riser pathways where available. The contractor shall furnish and install all necessary termination hardware including Lightguide Interconnect Units, connectors and pigtails, splice trays and management, and accessories. The contractor shall carefully disconnect and extract the existing multimode fiber run and dispose of or recycle removed cabling. Upon completion, the contractor shall test all 12 strands bi-directionally using OTDR and OLTS at both 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths, and label all cables, LIU panels, and individual ports per ANSI/TIA-606-C. Deliverables include complete OTDR and insertion loss test results, as-built drawings, and manufacturer warranty documentation.
