Aerospace Power Systems Laboratory (APSL) Facility

The contractor will provide a two-phase Design-Build of a new laboratory facility to support the testing and development of power systems with associated site work, infrastructure, and systems. The scope includes design, procurement, and installation at GRC. The facility will be approximately 34,000 square feet and include an open floor high bay with overhead crane, configurable laboratory space, support spaces, collaboration and administration spaces, mechanical/electrical/telecom rooms, utility tie-ins, liquid nitrogen and gaseous nitrogen storage and distribution, process cooling systems, service air system, specialty lab gas storage and distribution, and specialty life safety systems. Construction also includes utilities, pavement, and additional site improvements. The project must achieve a minimum sustainability standard of USGBC LEED Silver or two Green Globes.
