Triennial Circuit Breaker and Feeder Testing

Contractor shall accomplish testing of the electrical distribution system at 975 Kirman Ave, including medium-voltage oil-cooled switches with very low frequency testing of existing cables from vault to vault with inspection of every vault, liquid-filled transformers with 24.9kV primary, circuit breakers identified in green including testing and exercising all 225-amp 3-pole breakers and above plus main breaker disconnects, feeder cables, and 480V air-cooled transformers. Work includes functional tests, torquing busing and lug connections, meggering low-voltage feeder cables, cleaning connections including branch wiring and grounded and grounding connections, affixing labels with date, firm name and successful test indication, standard photographs showing internal wiring and nameplates and infrared photographs to detect hot spots, a coordination study covering the entire Reno facility with verified and updated color-coded one-lines for Life Safety, Critical and Equipment branches and updated arc flash analysis with new labels installed, and a complete written PDF report within 7 days with test data, photographs, deficiencies with labor and materials cost estimates, NEC violations, and MV cable replacement estimates; corrective repairs are the responsibility of the VA facility.
