Folsom Warehouse Bridge Crane Replacement

The contractor shall design, build, furnish, and install one 30-ton bridge crane to replace the existing crane at the Folsom Dam Warehouse. Principal components include: removal and disposal of the existing 30-ton bridge crane and associated electrical equipment; design, fabrication, and installation of a new 30-ton overhead top-running bridge crane with pendant control; furnishing and installing a new crane electrical system including VFDs, PLC, HMI, and control enclosures; performing a rail survey and optionally repairing or replacing the existing runway rails; performing commissioning tests and load tests; and providing operation and maintenance training. The work also includes asbestos abatement, removal and disposal of used oil, and recycling of scrap metal with coatings containing hazardous materials. The contract includes optional line items for adjusting/repairing or removing and replacing the runway rails.
