SCOPE: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to remove and dispose of existing airfield lighting transformers and replace with refurbished, certified, and warrantied transformers (Fig. 1-11) at the U.S. Coast Guard, Base Cape Cod, on Joint Base Cape Cod, Buzzards Bay, MA, 02542.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to remove and dispose of existing airfield lighting transformers and replace with refurbished, certified, and warrantied transformers. The four transformers are: Transformer 413 (McGraw Edison, 37.5 KVA, serial 74ZD743004) adjacent to building 614 and runway 23; Transformer 523 (McGraw Edison, 37.5 KVA, serial 73ZE858030) adjacent to building 614 and runway 14; Transformer 138613 (ABB, 1000/1120 KVA, serial 11JC573270001) adjacent to hangar 3181 and taxiway Delta; and Transformer 575 (Southeastern Transformer Co, 15 KVA, serial 1019102) adjacent to building 195 and runway 5. The contractor must verify transformer specifications, work with utilities to secure power, dispose of old transformers off base, install new transformers, restore power, and perform operational tests. The installation must comply with NFPA 70, FAA regulations, and all local, state, and federal regulations. Refurbished units must be oil-tested, leak-checked, and electrically verified to meet IEEE and ANSI standards, and carry a 3-year warranty.
