The loading dock treads and risers are damaged and is a safety concern. Period of Performance: project should take approximately 90 days to complete.
The contractor will demolish the failed concrete and damaged stair components, remove deteriorated or improperly bonded #4 reinforcement steel, form and reconstruct the loading dock platform and stair system, install structural reinforcement tied into existing concrete per VA structural practice, place 3500 PSI concrete for platform, stairs, and edge reconstruction, reinstall VA-required safety bumpers and edge protection, apply yellow safety markings per VA Life Safety and Safety Office standards, perform concrete surface finishing and application of concrete sealant, and implement full PPE and compliance with VA safety protocols.
