St. Marks NWR Aucilla Tram Road Bridge DB

The contractor shall provide design-build services to: (1) provide permanent safe access from the bridge deck or integral platform to all stop-log boards and retaining devices; (2) replace existing timber stop-log boards with heavy-duty aluminum stop logs and install corrosion-resistant retention system operable from above; (3) modify the cantilevered bridge deck and/or extend the WCS operating face as necessary; (4) replace deficient bridge guardrails and traffic-safety features including object markers; (5) trim vegetation obstructing the west-approach load-limit sign; and (6) provide all professional and construction services including field verification, structural evaluation, design, permitting, fabrication, installation, testing, training, and closeout. The design shall maintain structural integrity of existing bridge and WCS, allow routine operation by no more than two trained employees without entering water or crawling beneath the bridge, and comply with FDOT standards.
