CGC VIGOROUS DD &DS FY27

The contractor must perform drydock and dockside repairs on the USCGC VIGOROUS (WMEC 627) including, but not limited to: ultrasonic testing of hull plating (200 measurements); side scan ultrasonic testing of hull; 100% preservation of underwater body surfaces; partial preservation of freeboard surfaces; preservation and leak testing of appendages and voids; inspection of propulsion shaft fairwaters and rope guards; strain gauge alignment check; removal, inspection, and reinstallation of propulsion shafting and intermediate shafts; inspection and repair/renewal of propulsion shaft seal assemblies; renewal of external propulsion shaft bearings; cleaning and inspection of controllable pitch propellers; inspection and service of the CPP system; renewal of fathometer transducer; cleaning and inspection of Doppler speed log transducer; overhaul or renewal of sea valves and waste pieces; overhaul of duplex sea strainers; removal, inspection, and reinstallation of rudder assembly; partial preservation of superstructure; renewal of zinc anodes; replacement of reduction gear lube oil strainer assembly; replacement of Doppler speed log; removal of deep water sounder; renewal of propulsion shaft coating; optical or laser alignment check; renewal of propeller shaft sleeves; drydocking; provision of temporary services; preservation of potable water tanks; repair of reverse osmosis platform; repair of oily water holding tank; repair of hull plating; renewal of support stringers; cleaning, inspection, and hydro of seawater heat exchangers; commercial cleaning of main diesel engine exhaust piping, ship service diesel generator exhaust piping, and boiler exhaust stack uptakes; cleaning and flushing of chill water system; cleaning and inspection of potable water pneumatic tanks and hot water accumulator tanks; inspection and service of single point davit; renewal of sewage discharge and vacuum pumps; cleaning and inspection of grey water holding tanks and sewage holding tanks; cleaning and flushing of sewage piping; renewal of bulkhead plating and stringers; renewal of exhaust piping; and option items for stern tube interior preservation, propulsion shaft straightening, CPP hub renewal and inspection, and hull and structural plating renewal. The contractor must also submit Critical Inspection Reports (CIR) within the first 25% of the contract period and all other inspection reports within the first 40%.
