Farrier Services for Grant-Kohrs National Historic

The contractor shall provide all management, labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment and transportation necessary to perform farrier services for saddle horses and draft horses at Grant-Kohrs Ranch NHS. Services include shoeing (4 shoes) of NPS horses and drafts, with a minimum of 2 head and maximum of 12 head per year. Shoeing must be performed in a professional manner in accordance with standard horse shoeing practices, including sole preparation, hoof preparation, balance, shoe preparation, and nailing. The contractor must have a current certification from a farrier's school or equivalent, verifiable past experience, capability to shoe 4-8 head per day, and a complete set of shoeing tools and equipment. Work location is 266 Warren Lane, Deer Lodge, MT 59722, and shoeing shall be performed between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM Mountain Time, not on weekends or government holidays.
