BADGER SPRINGS LOP & SCATTER
The contractor shall furnish all personnel, tools, labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, training, and incidentals necessary to perform tree thinning services. The work includes cutting all live Douglas-fir, ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, and juniper trees less than or equal to 11 inches DBH using hand tools (chainsaws, hand saws, loppers). Cut trees greater than 2 inches DBH must be bucked and limbed; all branches must be completely severed from the bole before scattering. Stump height shall not exceed 4 inches and must be cut flat. Slash shall not exceed 4 feet in length and must be dispersed so as not to exceed 15 inches in depth. All cut/scattered vegetation must be scattered at least 10 feet away from existing roads, trails, fences, and irrigation ditches. No mountain mahogany, limber pine, or whitebark pine shall be cut. The contractor must also comply with fire prevention requirements, including maintaining firefighting tools and equipment, and provide a performance/work plan and crew manifest.
