Inpsect/Service Fire Extinguisher, NPS-LAVO

The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, testing, and supplies necessary to complete the service as identified in the Statement of Work. Services include comprehensive fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance, and advisory services in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including the California Fire Code, California Code of Regulations (CCR Title 8 and Title 19), and applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards (including NFPA 10). Services shall include, at a minimum, annual maintenance and certification of all Government-furnished fire extinguishers by a technician licensed by the California State Fire Marshal, as well as documentation of all services performed. The contractor shall also provide professional subject-matter expertise to evaluate existing facilities, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions. The contractor shall provide service based on a previously developed inventory service plan and shall verify this inventory extinguisher by extinguisher to catalog future service requirements. The contractor shall inspect conditions of extinguishers for signs of wear, corrosion, leaks, pressure testing, and age for end-of-service-life replacements. The preferred brand for replacement extinguishers must be Amerex or equivalent. The contractor shall also prepare written reports of the testing and maintenance results using NPS forms.
