INSPECTION OF WELDS
The contractor must supply a portable phased array ultrasonic flaw detector capable of detecting voids as small as 0.005" in 6000s alloy aluminum with wall thickness 0.1" - 0.375". The unit must support phased array ultrasonics (PAUT), single ultrasonic beam (UT), time-of-flight-diffraction (TOFD), total focusing method (TFM), phase coherence imaging (PCI), full matrix capture (FMC), and plane wave imaging (PWI). It must have a 64:128 pulser/receiver architecture, operate on field-replaceable batteries or external 120 V, 60 Hz AC power, and include onboard Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 3.1, HDMI, SDHC card slot, Ethernet, a built-in display, and at least 500 GB of onboard storage. The manufacturer must provide software updates, technical support, and repair support through at least January 1, 2032.
