The contractor shall provide all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, incidentals, and testing necessary to completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and perform work for Project Number 657-26-602JC – Create Observation Unit, JC. The project includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical, plumbing and electrical work, and certain other items necessary for completion and installation of new work. The work will focus on creating a 3-bed observation unit within the existing Emergency Department at John Cochran, Building 1, Floor 01, including converting three rooms to the Observation Unit and renovating seven rooms to include relocated triage rooms and reception desk. Renovations will include phasing to maintain operations, walls, finishes, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and medical gases. The base bid (CLIN 0001) has a period of performance of 550 calendar days. A Deduct Alternate 1 (CLIN 0002) excludes Door #7 at Room H132 and all associated equipment and work, with a period of performance of 500 calendar days.
