The Miles City Converter Station is replacing a GE LTR 500 GU load tap changer on its converter station SPARE transformer. The LTC must be a 3-phase design with vacuum bottle interrupters and preventive auto transformer (reactor) type, Reinhausen type RMV-II-1500 or equal. The contractor must remove the old LTC and install the new one, making all high voltage connections inside the transformer, including routing and bracing leads. The contractor is responsible for vacuum filling the transformer and new LTC unit with oil per manufacturer's instructions. After installation, the contractor must functional test the LTC through its full range and check all accessories. While the transformer is out of service, the contractor must also replace 6 low voltage bushings, replace 2 conservator bladders, install a maintenance-free dehydrating breather, and replace sudden pressure and pressure relief protection devices. The contractor must supply the six low side bushings, two conservator bladders, and the maintenance-free breather; new gaskets for the entire transformer; and Copper tubing, brass fittings, valving, mounting brackets, conduits, and conductors for the additional work. The equipment must be delivered to Miles City Converter Station, 4716 Leighton Boulevard, Miles City, MT, and this requirement is FOB Destination.
