Due to a recent fire in building 6418 at Moore Air Base, Texas, a wet fire suppression system is needed. Building 6418 was constructed in the early 1980s with no fire suppression initially. Contractor shall provide design/as-built drawings submittals and installation of a new retrofitted system. The system shall be a turnkey project encompassing everything needed to have a fully functioning fire suppression system.

RFI: Does Building 6418 currently have an existing fire alarm panel/system that the sprinkler monitoring would tie into? If so, could you please provide the panel/system type, make/model, or any available details needed for a sprinkler monitoring quote? The fire panels are old and obsolete. They will be replaced at another time, but the new sprinkler system must be able to connect to a fire panel in the future. No monitoring is needed.

The contractor shall provide design/as-built drawings submittals and installation of a new retrofitted wet fire suppression system, including underground fire line, tap, PIV, above-ground backflow preventer with testing certification, riser room, and a turnkey automatic sprinkler system with canopy protection and sprinkler heads centered in ceiling tiles using flex drops. The contractor must remove and dispose of all construction materials and debris off base, provide a one-year warranty on all labor and equipment, and comply with all applicable codes, environmental regulations, and NFPA standards.
