Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) lease
The contractor must provide a U.S.-operated, working class ROV capable of working at 3000-3500 m water depth, deployable from the UNOLS vessel R/V Revelle. The ROV must lift a ~200lb GNSS-A transponder, securely transport it to the seafloor, and precisely install it onto an existing benchmark base plate. The vehicle requires a heavy-lift sled for transporting transponders. Operations are scheduled for calendar year 2027 aboard the R/V Roger Revelle or similar vessel.
