Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code §11.11 requires an applicant for a permit under Chapters 25, 28, or 32 — which include the Mixed Beverage Permit (MB) — to file a $5,000 conduct surety bond, or $10,000 if the place of business is within 1,000 feet of the property line of a public school, conditioned on the applicant's conformance with the Alcoholic Beverage Code; the bond amount is paid to the state if the permit is revoked or on final adjudication of a violation. TABC's own instructions to form L-2-60.2 confirm the Mixed Beverage Permit (MB) sits in the $5,000-or-$10,000 group.
