Section 33-19-8 requires a guardian authorized to sell or mortgage the real estate of a ward to give bond with a surety or sureties satisfactory to the court, conditioned that the guardian will apply the proceeds of the sale or mortgage to the purposes for which it was authorized and invest the proceeds as allowed by law or as the court directs. The probate court fixes the penal sum in its decree.
