Georgia's Little Miller Act (O.C.G.A. §13-10-1 et seq.) requires both bonds, each at 100% of the contract price, on state public works contracts over $250,000 — a threshold raised from $100,000 by House Bill 137, effective July 1, 2025. The payment bond is required under O.C.G.A. §13-10-60; local-government projects are governed by O.C.G.A. §36-91-90 et seq. Many private owners and lenders require the same bonds above $250,000.
