Arizona Revised Statutes § 6-991.03 sets the licensing requirements for mortgage loan originators. Subsection (B)(8) lets an applicant satisfy the financial-responsibility requirement with a surety bond of not less than $200,000, executed by the applicant's employer or registered exempt person as principal and a surety company licensed or approved to do business in Arizona, for the benefit of any person aggrieved by an act, representation, transaction, or conduct of a licensed loan originator that violates the title — in lieu of paying into the mortgage recovery fund.
