This project consists of the reroofing of the historic UTE Tower on the Ashley National Forest.
B. Work includes:
Remove and dispose of existing cedar wood shingle roofing system.
The existing plywood sheathing to remain.
Remove & reinstall the lightning protection rod, lightning protection cables across the
roof, clamps & fasteners across the roof, and appurtenances across the roof.
Section 073129 SYNTHETIC CEDAR SHINGLES, and as per manufacturer’s
instructions, to include matching synthetic cedar ridge caps on each of the 4 ridges.

ridge caps, and all necessary fasteners and accessories. Flashing shall be galvanized
steel, no sheen, mill finish.
