NACE REPAIR TERMITE DAMAGE FOWA
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and technical expertise to perform termite assessment and treatment (Scope A) and removal and replacement of damaged drywall, insulation, and associated framing (Scope B) in two historic buildings (four rooms total: Guard Room, Jail, Adjutant's Office, Commandant's Office) at Fort Washington Park. Scope A includes comprehensive termite inspection, interior and perimeter liquid termiticide treatment, trenching, drilling, injection, documentation, and two follow-up inspections (6-month and 12-month). Scope B includes selective demolition of damaged drywall, insulation, and wooden ceiling joists/studs; temporary shoring; installation of new framing, insulation, and gypsum board (5/8-inch Type X and moisture-resistant as applicable) per ASTM and GA standards; Level 4/Level 5 finishing; finish mock-up; low-VOC primer; and restoration of disturbed areas. The contractor must also manage hazardous-material stop-work procedures, dust containment, and protection of historic fabric.
