The contractor shall provide personnel and equipment (chainsaws, brush cutters, string trimmers, rakes, hand tools, chippers, masticators, GPS units, trucks) to cut, chip, pile, scatter, or haul off targeted vegetation within pre-identified treatment areas. Tasks include using chainsaws to fell hazardous trees and chip them to less than three-inch chips; using BLM-approved herbicides via back-pack sprayers to spray shrub stumps and non-native grass; GPSing accomplished work and submitting data to the BLM COR; submitting a Pesticide Application Report; and safely completing work including crew safety briefings. The contractor is responsible for assembling tools and equipment, transporting items to the job site, navigating to and within the job site, and coordinating with the BLM COR after receiving project-specific information.
