Electronic commerce is defined at 41 USC sec. 426 as electronic techniques for accomplishing business transactions, including electronic mail. Thus, provided the complete solicitation package is available through the GPE and offerors are permitted to respond electronically (i.e., email in this case), the proposed contract action would not need to be synopsized.
Therefore, synopsis is hereby waived as this acquisition is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold, request for proposal will be made through Contract Opportunities and the offerors will be able to respond electronically.
The contractor shall manufacture and deliver 3 each of Valve Assembly, Hydr (NSN 1650-01-010-1622), incorporating limit switches to automatically shut off the actuator motor when the valve reaches full open/closed position, made of aluminum alloy. The item requires Unique Item Identification (UID) marking per DFARS 252.211-7003 if unit price exceeds $5,000.00. Packaging shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1 and marking per MIL-STD-129. Delivery is FOB Origin, and the contractor is responsible for freight forwarding for Foreign Military Sales shipment to code DSR004.
