The vessel will be based in Oahu, HI, and will carry science and dive parties of up to nine people total. The vessel will conduct the following missions: Dive Training and Proficiency, Emergency Response, Acoustic Studies, Whale Entanglement Response, Vessel Inspections, Partner Missions, Baseline Data Collections, and Specimen Collections.
All questions shall be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist no later than Tuesday, September 15th at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. Please refer to the attached solicitation and statement of work for additional details.
Amendment 0001 extends the solicitation closing date to Friday, September 25th at 12:00 PM Eastern Time; extends the deadline for questions to Tuesday, September 15th at 12:00 PM Eastern Time; and adds Attachment B, "Vendor Questions and Responses" to the list of attachments.
The contractor shall provide a Class II Research Vessel for Operations Supporting Papahanaumokuakea National Marine Sanctuary in Oahu, Hawaii, including a trailer (option), fly bridge operating station (option), autopilot (option), and shipping (option). The vessel must meet detailed specifications for length (not more than 35'), beam (not more than 10'), draft (not more than 2.5'), monohull configuration, cruise speed of 20 knots minimum, maximum speed of not less than 30 knots, range of 150nm minimum, and be designed for operations in Hawaiian Islands to 50nm from shore. The vessel must be delivered within 12 months of contract award.
