589A7-23-305, Prepare Site for Choice Dining Equipment FY27 NRM

The project will renovate approximately 2,500 BGSF in the existing Kitchen at the Wichita VA Medical Center. Work includes coordination of reuse/relocation of existing kitchen equipment and providing new kitchen equipment to meet production requirements. The project includes renovation work such as demolition, new walls, new ceilings, lighting replacement, HVAC, plumbing, electrical upgrades, utility relocations, and new finishes. The project is phased: Phase 1 involves partial demolition of entry area into hot production/tray assembly line; Phase 2 involves demolition and renovation of remaining hot production/tray assembly line and cold food prep; Phase 3 involves demolition and renovation of Administration area. The contractor must provide a temporary kitchen in Supervisor Office 113 for approximately 140 days, including temporary kitchen equipment (four induction cooktops, one double-deck electric convection oven, and one ventless hood) which can be rented or owned by the contractor. The contractor is responsible for nightly cleanup, obtaining all required permits, inspections, approvals, and certifications for the temporary cooking area, and removing temporary kitchen equipment from government property at the end of the contract.
