Due to the extensive nature of the equipment list, it has been divided into three separate lists. WMATA may make multiple awards.
Contractor shall furnish on a rental basis various cranes and equipment with licensed operators for WMATA operations. Equipment includes Hi-Rail mounted gradalls, Hi-Rail mounted cranes (60-ton, 150-ton), 100-ton crawler cranes, Hi-Rail mounted excavators and backhoes, tampers, regulators, truck-mounted cranes (ranging 15-550 tons), rough terrain hydraulic cranes, lowboy and stretch trailers, spreader beams, rail pullers, and related labor (certified riggers, rigging supervisors, equipment operators, equipment supervisors). Work will be performed across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. on an as-needed basis with minimum 24 hours' scheduled notice. Equipment may be used on paved or unpaved surfaces and for tasks including removal and replacement of track and switch panels, load and unload operations, derailment recovery, track maintenance, and equipment relocation. Contractor must comply with all applicable OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC), Federal, State, and local safety requirements. All Hi-Rail equipment must be inspected at WMATA facilities to ensure compliance with WMATA roadway characteristics. Contractor is responsible for equipment mobilization, delivery, setup, operation, fuel, permits, licenses, maintenance records, and personnel qualifications. Personnel must be properly licensed, certified, and skilled; possess WMATA identification badges; and successfully pass WMATA Roadway Worker Protection examination (limited to three attempts, failure results in one-year prohibition from WMATA property). In event of equipment breakdown at job site, WMATA will not be billed until equipment is repaired or replaced and in good working condition.
