Product will be delivered to the following locations, in quantities specified by the City:

1. Central Maintenance Facility
   1801 South McLean Boulevard
2. West Substation
   5801 West 3rd Street
3. Northeast Substation
   2901 East 33rd Street North
   Bid prices for snow and ice control materials will be guaranteed firm for the contract and renewal option
   periods. The contract period shall be for one year with options to renew under the same terms and conditions
   for an additional two (2) successive one (1) year terms by mutual agreement of both parties. The contract is
   subject to cancellation upon thirty (30) days written notice by the City of Wichita.
   The quantities indicated are the estimated annual requirements and do not limit the amount the City may
   purchase during the winter season; however, the City of Wichita will only guarantee the purchase of a
   minimum of 2,000 tons of salt-sand mixture (combined total, regardless of mixture ratio) during the term of
   the Contract.
   Orders will be issued to the Vendor throughout the Contract period by an authorized representative of the
   City of Wichita.
   The Maintenance Division will arrange the date and time of delivery at the time the order is placed. Unless
   arranged otherwise, delivery will begin within forty-eight (48) hours of the City’s notice to the Vendor. The
   Vendor is required to complete the delivery of the material within three (3) calendar days after beginning

deliveries. Deliveries will not be accepted on holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays, unless otherwise arranged
by the City.
Since salt and sand materials are needed for emergency response to winter storms, the delivery time is an
essential part of this contract. Failure to perform may result in cancellation of the contract upon thirty (30)
days written notice by the City of Wichita.
Hauling equipment is to be self-unloading tailgate or end-dump trucks and are to be provided with tarpaulins
or otherwise equipped so that salt and sand will be protected from moisture during transportation to the
destination site.
All materials will be compensated by the ton, F.O.B. destination and delivered by truck to the stockpile at
each required destination. The Vendor shall furnish a copy of the scale tickets to the representative of the
Maintenance Division at the destination site.
Material Specifications
Aggregate for the sand portion of the mixture, or supplied individually, shall be crushed stone, crushed gravel,
or natural gravels. The aggregate shall conform to the following gradation.
