The University of Rhode Island (URI) is seeking to procure a one-ton cargo van equipped with crew cab seating and a rear roll-up door for use by its Dining Services Division. This vehicle configuration will enable Dining Services to transport personnel, food, equipment, and supplies in a single vehicle, improving operational efficiency while reducing the time and resources required for event support across campus.
The bidder must supply a 2026 or newer one-ton cargo van with crew cab seating and a rear roll-up door. The vehicle must be a 1-Ton High Roof Van with 159" extended wheelbase, white exterior, 276 hp 3.6L V6 engine, front wheel drive, 9-speed automatic transmission. It must include crew van group with rear bench seat, vinyl bucket seats, cloth crew seating, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, front passenger double seat, manual 6-way adjustable driver seat, lower side wall paneling cargo area, heavy duty polyurethane or polyurea based protective coating spray on floor liner. Doors and access include passenger-side sliding door with window, right-side sliding doorstep, and roll-up rear door. Mirrors and visibility include heated power folding mirrors and digital rearview mirror. Electrical and power include 220-amp alternator, 100-amp battery, 115-volt auxiliary power outlet, 12-volt rear auxiliary power outlet. Technology includes touchscreen display and two additional keys. Protection and exterior include splash guards, undercoating, steel wheels, and black wax-based or water based undercoating. Safety equipment includes DOT-certified safety kit (including fire extinguisher), backup alarm, and standard safety tech including backup camera and emergency braking.
