The project consists of replacement of the existing single span concrete encased steel I-beam bridge carrying SR 1014 (Overbrook Rd) over SR 309 (Memorial Highway) with approach roadway improvements. The proposed structure will be single span prestressed concrete adjacent box beam bridge with two 11 foot lanes and 8 foot shoulders. Other work includes roadway approach pavement reconstruction and shoulder widening, guide rail replacement, E&S control measures, temporary traffic control, signing and pavement marking, structure removal, and other miscellaneous construction work. Construction of the SR 1014 bridge will be completed while traffic is detoured. In addition to the bridge replacement work on SR 1014, there are proposed improvements to the SR 309 corridor underneath the structure including mill and overlay, full depth paving and permanent soil nail slope construction using staged construction. The roadway shoulders will be increased to 5' on both sides and the roadway profiles of both SR 1014 and SR 309 will be adjusted to meet vertical clearance requirements as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE 1014, SECTION 370, in LUZERNE COUNTY, DALLAS TOWNSHIP from approximately 2.1 miles west of Huntsville at segment 0050 offset 0488 to approximately 0.3 miles east of Fern Brook at segment 0050 offset 1198.

Allow sufficient time before the bid opening to obtain a visitor pass on the 5th Floor and to be escorted to the 7th Floor Contract Awards Room.
