(BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION) - Lackawanna County

The project involves the superstructure replacement for two (2) structures carrying SR 3023 and SR 8025 traffic over Roaring Brook and bridge preservation work on the SR 8025 structure over President Biden Expressway Ramp D along with approach roadway improvements. Replacement superstructures include a single span Composite P/S Concrete Spread Box Beam and a four (4) span P/S concrete spread PA Bulb-Tee Beam superstructure. Other work includes roadway approach pavement reconstruction and shoulder widening, guide rail replacement, E&S control measures, temporary traffic control, signing and pavement marking, partial structure removal, and other miscellaneous construction work. Construction of the bridges will be completed using staged construction as well as while traffic is detoured as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE 3023, SECTION D50 in LACKAWANNA COUNTY, CITY OF SCRANTON from a point approximately 0.4 mile north of Birch St at Segment 0060 Offset 0298 to a point 0.2 miles south of President Biden Expressway at Segment 0060 Offset 1088 AND STATE ROUTE 8025, SECTION 250 in LACKAWANNA COUNTY, CITY OF SCRANTON from a point approximately 0.2 miles south of Mulberry St at Segment 0500 Offset 0000 to a point approximately 0.5 miles north of Birch St at Segment 0500 Offset 0688 AND STATE ROUTE 8025, SECTION PRS in LACKAWANNA COUNTY, CITY OF SCRANTON from a point approximately 0.2 miles south of Jefferson Ave. at Segment 0500 Offset 0494 to a point approximately 0.5 miles north of Birch St at Segment 0500 Offset 0688 with a total work area length of 1572.12 feet (0.298 miles).
