- This project proposes to repair and upgrade existing drainage systems to maintain their reliability and integrity and help assure the continued safety of the traveling public.1. Clean 54 stormwater quality units in various towns in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.2. NY27 (Sunrise Highway) from Queens/Nassau Line to Freer St in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County. Clean, repair or replace drainage structures and Valley Stream Trash Rack replacement.3. NY135 (Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway) at Merrick Road in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County. Clean and repair drainage system elements along the ramps, clean the culverts which pass under NY135 and Merrick Road, install pumpable check valves for the low point catch basin for southbound NY135 to westbound Merrick Road off ramp, and westbound Merrick Road to northbound NY135 on ramp.4. NY25A (Main Street) from Lawrence Hill Road to Goose Hill Road in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County. Clean, repair or replace drainage structures between Lawrence Hill Road and Spring Street; replace existing drainage box conduit to circular conduit between Spring Street and Goose Hill Road; add outfall riprap on NY25A outfall opposite of Portland Place.5. NY25 (Jericho Turnpike) at Larkfield Road in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County. Leaching basin rehabilitation and replacement, address runoff from NY25 flowing south.
