- This project proposes to improve safety and mobility for vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users by reconstructing 0.89 miles of NY347 from Old Willets Path to NY454 (Veterans Memorial Highway) in the Towns of Islip and Smithtown, Suffolk County. Work will include but not be limited to adding a thru lane in each direction, drainage system improvements, intersection improvements, a shared use path and sidewalks will be added.
