Certified Public Accounting for the Observation and Certification of Lottery Drawings, Ball Weight Certifications, Ball Set Destruction, and Other Engagements

The New York State Gaming Commission ("Commission"), on behalf of the State of New York ("State"), and as an operator of the New York State Lotter ("Lottery"), has been approved to enter into a one-year Single Source contract with KPMG to provide, Certified Public Accounting services for the Observation and Certification of Lottery Drawings, Ball Weight Certifications, Ball Set Destruction, and Other Engagements.

The most recent contract (C202102V2) providing the required services expired on May 31, 2026. An RFP had been issued with a procurement timeline that would have yielded a new executed contract by June 1, 2026, however, there were no responsive, responsible bids received in response to the solicitation.

KPMG had been providing services under contract C202102V2, until its expiration on 5/31/2026 and will continue providing the required services while the Gaming Commission resolicits the bidding population.

Services are critical and must continue uninterrupted. By allowing KPMG to continue providing services, Lottery Draws will be able to continue seamlessly with no interruption, allowing the continuation of the founding mandate of the NYS Lottery to support education.
