The State University of New York at Stony Brook (herein after referred to as "SUNY”) is soliciting proposals to provide all labor, material, equipment and services necessary to replacing structural concrete slab, shoring, modifying existing concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls as required, replacing the structural floor slab, installing limited structural steel beam infills, providing required floor sinks and floor drains, and installing the finished floor system at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Southhampton, NY 11968 services, as herein described delivered NET FOB Destination in accordance with SUNY at Stony Brook BID# 26/27-007MC, Exhibits, and PRC#2026021138.
This project aims to replace a large portion of the Main Kitchen's first-floor structural concrete slab, which has deteriorated due to water infiltration beneath the former kitchen dishwashing rooms.
The scope of work includes shoring the existing concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls, replacing the structural concrete floor slab, installing limited steel beam infills, providing the required floor sinks and floor drains, and installing the finished flooring. The contractor will ensure that the new floor system is properly sloped to provide positive drainage to the new floor drains.
Stony Brook University will be responsible for the abatement and removal of hazardous materials, as well as the installation of all kitchen equipment, electrical systems, and all remaining plumbing systems other than the floor sinks and floor drains after the new structural floor slab has been completed.
All work on this Contract is to be completed “within 270 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed”

Only those contractors who attend the site visit will be eligible to bid on this project
All questions relating to this bid must be submitted in writing on Jaggaer to the Q & A Board. The question period closes on: Friday, August 14, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
