Partner Opportunity – Certified SDVOB Firms (New York State)

We are seeking New York State (NYS) - certified SDVOB vendors to partner with us as subcontractors on Electrical Switchgear Testing/Partial Discharge Testing at Green Haven Correctional Facility

Project Overview:

The facility is supplied by one 13.2kV utility service feeding the Powerhouse switchgear, which includes 14 Eaton vacuum circuit breakers protected by 12 SEL-751A relays. Backup power is provided by two 13.2kV, 2MW MTU generators with SEL-700G relays, and the tie breaker uses SEL-587Z differential protection.

The site includes 3 MCCs, 50 oil-filled transformers, 37 HV switches, 2 transfer switches, one 125V battery system (10 Deka Unigy batteries, replaced Dec-2025), and 52 electrical manholes.

The scope includes:

• Testing, maintenance, and Partial Discharge of 15kV vacuum circuit breakers, protective relays, transfer switches, facility transformers, battery banks and chargers, analog metering systems, and visual inspections of electrical distribution systems across multiple facility buildings.

• The project also includes providing and operating portable generators to maintain critical facility operations during scheduled outages, support for outage coordination and temporary power connection.

• Installing Fluke 4” Round, model Fluke-100-CLKT, UL-listed infrared windows in the incoming switchgear cabinets

• In addition, the contract requires delivery of Arc Flash Safety Awareness Training in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the National Fire Protection Association 70E (2024), along with Portable Generator Connection Training for facility personnel.

All work shall be performed by NYS Registered Professional Electrical Engineer and in accordance with applicable industry standards, including InterNational Electrical Testing Association, NFPA 70E, and OSHA requirements, and must comply with New York State prevailing wage requirements.

As the prime contractor, we are seeking certified partners to support project execution and help meet the contract participation goals.
