Stony Brook University Hospital intends to purchase Stryker's Hospital Prime Stretchers from a contract awarded by consortium (GPO) pursuant to its authority under section 163(3) (vi), which authorizes the purchases of commodities from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu of using a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process when justified by price. Vendors who sell equivalent Hospital Prime Stretchers to (Stryker) may, if interested contact Bruno Zambonino.

Equivalency must be demonstrated by meeting the clinical performance and KPI’s ofthe products. If offering a clinical equivalent, the vendor must provide free supporting clinical documentation, and equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial. Vendor must be authorized by the OEM to sell their offered products as listed on the GPO contract or approved equivalent.

If offering equivalent, compatible, and interchangeable equipment the vendor must provide the following at no cost, if asked to do so: Supporting documentation, software, transportation, set-up, removal, products, equipment, supplies, and accessories for examination, demonstration, and trial.

This procurement is subject to NYS Finance Law §139 j&k, AKA the Lobbying Law. Therefore, vendors are cautioned that the only permissible contact for this procurement is the individual listed below. Contacting any other individuals at Upstate in connection with this advertisement may constitute a violation of New York State Finance Law. Failure to comply with this requirement can range from no contract award to debarment from sales to any NYS Agency.

Successful contractor shall be required to submit valid and current NYS Workman’s Compensation and Disability Forms.
