For Construction Services Related to the New York Forward Small Projects FundVillage of Cooperstown, New York
Mohawk Valley Economic Development District, Inc. (MVEDD) is seeking requests for proposals (RFP) from qualified and experienced Contractors to perform construction services for various small-scale commercial and mixed-use improvement projects funded with a recently awarded Small Projects Fund grant from a New York Forward award for the Village of Cooperstown, Otsego County.
This RFP aims to have eligible contractors bid on and perform work for awardees participating in the Small Projects Fund.
Minority and Women-Owned Businesses are strongly encouraged to respond.
The deadline for Contractors’ proposals is Friday, July 31st, at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
MVEDD reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any and all bids and proposals. Each Proposer shall submit either one (1) original hard copy, either in person or via first-class mail, or one (1) electronic pdf copy, via email, to:

Proposals received at MVEDD after the submission deadline will not be considered. MVEDD is not responsible for delivery delays and the clock at MVEDD shall indicate the official time of receipt.
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
The scope of work includes installing new HVAC (heat pump) system. Install three new Mitsubishi external units (fan/compressors) and relocate all seven units, (four existing and three new to the rear roof). Replace three existing doors with 32”x80” steel doors and frames. Install LED track lighting covering 2,000 square feet. The project is located at 61 Main Street in Cooperstown, New York.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Responses will be evaluated based on:
Competitive pricing of total project
Relevant experience and past performance
Capacity to complete work within required timeframes
Commitment to regulatory compliance and quality control
· Compliance with all state and village codes
Evaluations will be completed by Friday, August 7th, 2026. The selected contractors will be notified upon a decision being approved by MVEDD and NYS Housing Trust Fund Corporation.
