The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking quotes for a 30,000-gallon water reservoir to be cleaned. The reservoir is an epoxy lined, non-pressurized storage tank that holds water for the park. Contractors must provide all equipment needed to perform the service (submersible pumps, high-pressure washers, vacuums, disinfected gear, etc.). The scope of works includes but is not limited to:
A visual inspection to note location and potential remedy for any flaws that may need repairs.
The tank needs to be drained, with the help of park staff on site.
Any waste material in the tank needs to be removed and brought to a DEC authorized facility for disposal.
The tank interior needs to be cleaned.
A post cleaning report that details the condition of the tank along with before and after photos.
Post-disinfection bacteriological water testing to ensure the reservoir is safe for potable use before returning it to the distribution system
