OBJECTIVE
The Town of North Hudson ("Town") is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified New York State licensed professional engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for the design and construction of a new municipal salt storage facility funded through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Water Quality Improvement Project (WQIP) Program. Engineering services will include project management, final design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and project closeout.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Town has completed preliminary planning for the proposed facility, including identification of the project site and preliminary budgeting for the proposed salt storage structure. The Town is seeking engineering services to complete site evaluation, final design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and project closeout.
The Town intends to construct an approximately 5,000-cubic-yard salt storage facility (anticipated capacity between approximately 4,000 and 6,000 cubic yards) with a foundation, fabric structure, and pre-cast concrete walls, to meet the DEC and OGS specifications standards located on Town Highway Property. The Town requires assistance with site planning, project management and construction management services.
The Town will provide available preliminary planning documents and other existing project information to the selected consultant upon contract award.
Funding for the project includes NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and the Town of North Hudson.
All services shall comply with applicable, NYSDEC, APA and other federal, state, and local requirements.
