East Street Water Main Replacement

The project includes the replacement of approximately 1,700 linear feet of existing 8-inch cast iron
water main with a 10-inch PVC water main along East Street, including installation of valves,
fittings, hydrants, service connections up to and including the curb stop, and all associated
appurtenances. Work also includes connection to existing water mains, abandonment of the existing
water main, and flushing, testing, and disinfection of the new main. Additional work includes
pavement and subbase removal and replacement, restoration of all disturbed surfaces to match
existing grades, and milling and overlay of East Street within the project limits shown. The project
also includes maintenance and protection of traffic, protection of existing utilities, coordination
with utility companies, site restoration, and preparation of record drawings. All work shall be
performed in accordance with the Contract Documents and applicable Village of Fort Edward
standards, and all improvements constructed within East Street shall be dedicated to the Village
upon completion.
