To provide timely, reliable, and expert-level on-call emergency and scheduled repair services for backup power generation systems for Raleigh Water. This includes the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, pump stations, lift stations, elevated and ground storage tank sites and booster pump stations. The City reserves the right to enter into one or more contracts with firms based on price, location of services, hours of operation, and/or availability of services with minimum delay. No representation or guarantee is made regarding the quantity of work to be awarded under any as‐needed service contract. The City reserves the right to add additional locations that could benefit from this solicitation as needed.

The selected contractor(s) shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, equipment, testing instruments, materials, transportation, and supervision to perform repairs, installations, and troubleshooting of existing backup power generation and electrical systems across various municipal facilities. Work includes emergency services (24/7/365 on-call support for generator-related emergencies), scheduled repair services (addressing known faults, OEM-recommended repairs, or issues identified during preventive maintenance), and diagnostic and troubleshooting services. The contractor will be responsible for diagnosis and repair of diesel, propane, and/or natural gas generator units, generator control and monitoring panels, automatic transfer switches, generator battery systems and chargers, fuel delivery systems, exhaust, ventilation, and cooling systems, and generator-related switchgear and distribution panels. Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis, with a separate purchase order issued for each task. Contractors must respond to emergency service requests within two hours and non-emergency requests within twenty-four hours. All work shall be performed during standard business hours between 7am – 5pm Monday through Friday unless otherwise specified for emergency services.
