Management Improvement Consultant, Pupil Transportation

Contractor shall conduct Pupil Transportation Management Reviews in districts requesting such services or as assigned by the Commissioner of Education or Associate Commissioner, Office of Finance and Operations. Offeror will be experienced in pupil transportation in Kentucky school districts, including Kentucky school bus safety, Kentucky bus driver training requirements, Kentucky bus garage operations, Kentucky inspections and maintenance. Offeror must be knowledgeable of Kentucky and Federal laws and regulations related to transportation and bus specifications. Offeror will have skills as a certified Kentucky school bus inspector, Kentucky certified driver trainer, transportation director or a combination of these. Offeror shall maintain functional access to an online reporting system that enables the entry and review of reports within timeframes specified by the department. Offeror may be assigned to assist with audits, conduct training sessions, and serve as a resource to department staff. Travel to districts to provide assistance, review district prepared reports and evaluate policies and procedures in place governing attendance and compliance with applicable laws and regulations is required. Overnight travel may be necessary.
