Physician Services

Physicians shall provide services to the Veterans of Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center to include evaluation and management of patient medical care for scheduled and acute encounters. Physician Services shall follow all state and Federal Guidelines/regulations as they pertain to long-term care facilities. Physicians will follow regulations set forth by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Veterans Affairs regulatory guidelines, and those within his/her scope of practice that includes but is not limited to: Accepting responsibility for initial and subsequent veteran care, Supporting discharges and transfers, Making periodic, pertinent patient visits in the facility, Providing appropriate veteran care, Providing appropriate, timely medical orders, Providing appropriate, timely, and pertinent documentation, Maintaining appropriate conduct and compliance, Assess new admissions in a timely fashion according to individual’s medical stability, Examine a medically unstable individual within 24 hours of admission.
