The Kansas Department of Transportation is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors to provide roadside liter and debris collection services for the Kansa City Metro area.
The contractor shall pickup and remove litter and debris from the entire right-of-way including fences, ditches, catch basins, drop boxes, areas behind guardrails, medians, and interchanges on specified interstate and highway routes in Wyandotte and Johnson counties. The contractor must provide all equipment, labor (10 workers per day per cycle November–February, 15 workers March–October), and incidentals. Work is performed twice per month per cycle, with each cycle having a minimum of ten days of collection opportunities. The contractor must dispose of all litter and debris off the right-of-way in accordance with federal and state laws.
