General Notice
The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the
following Project pursuant to O.C.G.A. §36-91-20:
Drowning Creek Water and Sewer Project
F01633.1
This Project includes the following Work:
The installation of approximately 9,000 linear feet (LF) of ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main along
Drowning Creek Road. The installation of approximately 12,500 LF of DIP gravity sewer main beginning
at the existing 36” sewer main near the intersection of Drowning Creek and the Apalachee River,
running west parallel with Drowning Creek and ending with a connection near the Harbins Landing
Pump Station. The project also includes restoration of the project corridor, traffic control, erosion and
sedimentation control, open-cut road and stream crossings, abandonment of sanitary gravity and force
mains, and the demolition and abandonment of the Harbins Landing Pump Station.
The Project is to be substantially complete and ready for operation within 520 days after the date when
the Contract Times commence to run as provided in the General Conditions. The Project is to be
complete and eligible for final payment 30 days after the date for Substantial Completion.
All competitive, sealed bidding shall conform to O.C.G.A. §36-91-2, -20 to -22.
