The City of Duluth purchased a decommissioned water booster pumping station building from Gwinnett County Water Resources in March of this year. The city is seeking to hire a contractor to remove and properly dispose of the pumping equipment and above grade piping and conduits, install blind flanges on walls, fill floor pipes and bulkhead with concrete flush to the floor, remove existing transformers and set new transformer, remove electrical switchgear, VFDs, control panel and associated conduit and wiring, remove electrical equipment pads, conduits and refinish damaged floor.

The City of Duluth will receive Proposals from contractors to conduct interior demolition of
a recently acquired decommissioned water booster pumping station located at 2407 Main
Street, Duluth Georgia, 30096. Specifically, the city is seeking to have the following
demolition activities; remove and properly dispose of the pumping equipment and above
grade piping and conduits, install blind flanges on walls, fill floor pipes and bulkhead with
concrete flush to the floor, remove existing transformers and set new transformer, remove
electrical switchgear, VFDs, control panel and associated conduit and wiring, remove
electrical equipment pads, conduits and refinish damaged floor. A complete Request for

Sealed proposals will be received until 11:00 A.M. EST on August 19, 2026 by the
City of Duluth (Owner), at 3167 Main Street, Duluth, GA, 30096.
A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. EST on August 5,
2026 at the project site 2407 Main Street, Duluth, Georgia 30096. All bidders are
required to attend
Proposals will be evaluated as follows:
o Bid (Total Cost) – up to 70 points
o Written Project Approach & Schedule – up to 15 points
o Resumes and References – up to 15 points
