ACCGOV TRANSIT is seeking to procure an ITS solution to be implemented on 32 vehicles that comprise the current bus fleet.
The ITS system will provide the following services to ACCGOV Transit: The system will provide the central intelligence network by combining GPS tracking with dispatch software. The AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) hardware will identify a vehicle's exact position in real-time, while the CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) software will allow operators to monitor the entire fleet, communicate with drivers, and manage service disruptions or detours from our dispatch center.

You are invited to submit a proposal to provide an ITS solution to be implemented on 32 vehicles that comprise
the current bus fleet for the ACCGov Transit Department.

The estimated range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $1,950,000.
Attached hereto is the Request for Proposal (RFP) instruction document. The written requirements contained in
this (RFP) shall not be changed or superseded except by written addendum from the Unified Government of
Athens-Clarke County Purchasing Division of the Finance Department. Failure to comply with the written
requirements for this proposal may result in rejection of the proposal by the Unified Government of Athens-
Clarke County.
The Unified Government of Athens Clarke County is accepting electronic bid submissions. Bidders shall

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the ITS CAD/AVL Update Project. The system will provide GPS tracking, Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Automated Voice Annunciation, Automatic Passenger Counters, real-time passenger information, and integration with existing systems such as CradlePoint routers and Luminator destination signs. The contractor must supply all hardware, software, installation, maintenance, annual support, training, and warranty. The work includes removing the existing CAD/AVL system, installing new wiring and components on 32 buses at the ACCGov Transit Maintenance and Operations facility at 325 Pound Street, Athens, GA, and providing a five-year all-inclusive cost implementation and maintenance plan.
