08/07/2026: GT Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) unit is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (Step 1 RFQ) from Firms interested in providing Construction Management (CM/GC) Services for a project known as "Project No. 0535-2025 Architecture West Mechanical Systems Improvements - GT Bid-Contract No. 2002-27 located at the Georgia Institute of Technology campus, Atlanta, Georgia. Respondents who are determined qualified may be shortlisted for Interview and offer fee proposals for these services (Step 2 RFP).

The project aims to replace all terminal units and the central air handling unit in the 52,000 gross square foot Architecture West building. Much of the duct work will remain. New controls are anticipated. Hazardous material abatement is anticipated with some duct mastic having been sampled and tested. The work also includes creating a dedicated space for mechanical systems supporting electrical infrastructure. The CM/GC will provide preconstruction services (technical review, cost verification, value engineering, schedule development) and manage construction, including methods, safety, scheduling, and coordination of all contracts.
