The following Schedule of Events represents the Owner’s best estimate of the schedule that will be followed.
All times indicated are prevailing times in Atlanta. The Owner reserves the right to adjust the schedule as
the Owner deems necessary.
The Georgia Department of Transportation intends to replace an existing office currently located in Chamblee with a new Administration Office to serve its District-7 region. The new building will be constructed adjacent to their existing Traffic Management Center located at 935 East United Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30316. The preliminary concept resulted in a multi-story building comprising roughly 78,000 square feet of space for staff offices, conference rooms, training assembly spaces, breakrooms, storage and other support spaces. The CM/GC will be required to participate in the design process, provide design review services, make recommendations for selection of materials, make recommendations on phasing of components, and perform detailed cost estimates at each phase of design. During the construction phase, the CM/GC will contract with subcontractors to perform the work and shall serve as the general contractor.
